September 2026 transfer bonuses: Chase to Marriott matches its 70% record

Amex, Chase, Citi, and Capital One had 10 transfer bonuses open at some point in September 2026. Citi's 25% offer to Leading Hotels of the World ended on September 19. The rest were still running on September 25, when this report was checked.

Five of the nine still running end by September 30. Amex's 30% to British Airways, Iberia, and Aer Lingus ends on September 27, and Chase to Aeroplan and Capital One to Japan Airlines end on September 30. Chase to Marriott, Amex to Hilton, and Citi's two new offers run into October, the latest to October 24.

Two programs outside those four ran offers too. Bilt paid up to 100% to Virgin Atlantic on its September 1 Rent Day, by status tier and capped at 150,000 points. Rove Miles pays 40% to Copa ConnectMiles through September 30.

Chase is paying 70% extra on Ultimate Rewards moved to Marriott Bonvoy from September 15 to October 15. At the standard 1:1 ratio, 10,000 Chase points arrive as 17,000 Bonvoy points; Marriott posts the bonus up to 7 days after the transfer. If you value Bonvoy points at 0.73 cents each, a transferred Chase point is worth about 1.24 cents during the offer.

Chase has run 15 earlier Marriott bonuses since July 2021. Eight were 50%, and only two reached 70%: August 2024 and November 2025. The most recent ran in two steps: 65% from May 1 to 15, 2026, then 55% through June 30.

Citi added Japan Airlines Mileage Bank as a partner and launched it with a 30% bonus from September 20 to October 24. From a Strata Premier, Strata Elite, or Prestige card the ratio is 1:1, so 1,000 ThankYou points become 1,300 JAL miles. No-fee Citi cards transfer at 1:0.7, or 910 miles with the bonus. JAL charges from 55,000 miles one way for business class to or from Japan, about 43,000 Citi points during the offer.

Capital One also pays 30% to JAL through September 30, but its standard ratio is 2:1.5. With the bonus, 1,000 Capital One miles become 975 JAL miles, 325 fewer than the premium Citi route. New Mileage Bank accounts can't book awards for their first 60 days, so an account opened on September 25 can't book until November 24. Capital One has run this same 30% offer three times before, in September 2025, February 2026, and April 2026.

Amex's 30% to British Airways matches its 2023, 2024, and 2025 offers. The pair reached 40% three times, most recently in April 2022. Amex to Hilton at 30% turns 1,000 points into 2,600 Hilton points through October 14; it is the 19th Amex-to-Hilton bonus since 2017, and the largest was 50% in March 2020. AwardWallet lists the Hilton offer as possibly targeted, so check it in your Amex account.

Chase to Air Canada Aeroplan pays 20% through September 30. Holders of the Chase Aeroplan card add 10% on a single transfer of 50,000 points or more, capped at 25,000 bonus points a year, so 100,000 Chase points become 130,000 Aeroplan points. Five of the six earlier offers on that pair were also 20%, and one reached 30% in November 2022. Citi to Avianca LifeMiles pays 25% through October 24; 15 of its 17 earlier offers were the same 25%.

Transfers to airline and hotel programs are one-way. Price the exact flight or room in the partner program first, then move only the points that booking needs.
