Which airlines have Starlink Wi-Fi in 2026: United, Qatar, Alaska and Hawaiian
United, Qatar Airways, Alaska and Hawaiian all fly Starlink-equipped aircraft, at different stages of rollout. United had 450 aircraft fitted in July 2026 and Qatar had 150 widebodies in August, so whether your flight has it comes down to the plane assigned.

Key numbers
- United reported 450 equipped aircraft in July 2026 and targets its whole fleet by the end of 2027.
- Qatar Airways reported 150 equipped widebody aircraft in August 2026.
- Alaska's August tracker showed 38% of the combined fleet equipped; Hawaiian's A330 and A321neo installations were complete.
- An equipped aircraft type does not guarantee that your specific flight has Starlink.
The short answer
As of September 24, 2026, Starlink is active on parts of the United, Qatar Airways, and Alaska fleets and on Hawaiian's Airbus A330 and A321neo fleet. United reported 450 equipped aircraft in July; Qatar reported 150 widebodies in August; Alaska's August 28 tracker showed 38% of its listed fleet equipped. Availability still depends on the assigned aircraft, and free access may require MileagePlus, Privilege Club, or Atmos Rewards membership.
United: regional jets first, mainline still rolling out
United said in its July 2026 results that Starlink was installed on 450 United and United Express aircraft. Its first equipped widebody had flown, and the airline expected nearly 1,000 equipped aircraft by year-end. The stated target for the full fleet is the end of 2027.
The service is free for MileagePlus members on Starlink-equipped flights. United's rollout began with dual-cabin United Express aircraft, so a United booking on a larger mainline jet needs its own Wi-Fi check. An airline-wide rollout target does not tell you what is installed on the plane assigned today.
Qatar Airways: 777 and A350 complete, 787 in progress
Qatar Airways reported 150 Starlink-equipped widebodies in August 2026. It said its Boeing 777 and Airbus A350 programs were complete, its 787-8 sub-fleet was complete, and more than half of its broader 787 fleet was equipped. It targets the rest of the 787 fleet by the end of 2026.
Qatar's connectivity page lists Starlink on select 777, A350, and 787 routes. Privilege Club members can use it for the full flight; other passengers get 45 minutes. The airline warns that an aircraft swap or airport restriction can change availability, so check the itinerary again near departure.
Alaska and Hawaiian: the same group, different progress
Alaska Air Group's tracker, updated August 28, 2026, put Starlink on 38% of its listed aircraft. All 93 Embraer 175 regional jets, 24 Hawaiian A330s, and 18 Hawaiian A321neos were marked complete. The tracker still listed most Boeing 737 variants and its 787s as pending or partly equipped.
Alaska says Atmos Rewards members get free Starlink access. Its June update described Hawaiian's Airbus fleet as equipped and set a 2027 target for the remaining Alaska mainline fleet. Look at the operating airline and aircraft type on the booking; a Hawaiian Airbus and an Alaska 737 do not imply the same Wi-Fi status.
Check the assigned plane again before departure
Start with the airline's Wi-Fi indicator for your flight, then check the aircraft type on SeatInside's Wi-Fi directory. A provider listed for an aircraft type is fleet-level evidence and cannot confirm a particular tail number. Rollouts leave mixed fleets for months, and aircraft assignments change.
The figures above are dated airline reports from July and August 2026. If your flight is later, use the airline's current booking details and onboard announcement for the final answer.
